Let's Enable
Great News for Let's Enable
In June, Worcestershire Freemasons kindly donated £250.00 to Let's Enable. This money will be used to help two groups of disabled children each access a horse care session. Thanks for your support.
Fantastic news. In May, the Central Co-op’s Community Dividend Fund awarded Let's Enable £1000 towards a sturdy and inclusive outdoor shelter - a huge thank you.

The horse care activities currently take place outside – without a shelter it isn’t possible to run the activities throughout the year. In the Winter it can very cold and wet and in the Summer, there is often a need for shade. Many of our service users are also in a wheelchair or have limited mobility, so they get cold easily. A shelter would enable us to run the sessions under a covered area when the weather is cold, wet or shade is needed. Many of our disabled community like routine and if we can’t run the sessions due to the weather conditions, they really miss their time with the horses. - it is an activity they enjoy and feel included in. There are so few fully inclusive activities that many can take part in.

We still need to raise another 2,000 to make this happen - any donations would be gratefully received!!! - this is the link to our Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/letsenable.
We are delighted to announce that in March we were awarded £10,260 from the Heart of England Community Foundation to work with the Neighbourhood Network Scheme in the Edgbaston and Northfield wards. Let’s Enable will be working with vulnerable adults aged 18-49 with long term disabilities. We are looking forward to working with local community groups. If you know of a group that would benefit from the good work that Let’s Enable is doing in Edgbaston and Northfield wards, please get in touch via the contact page on our website www.letsenable.co.uk.
